About Jay Ferriere

Jay is a provisional psychologist who completed his studies at Manhattanville College, New York.

 

He has a warm, light and compassionate nature and enjoys working with individuals of all ages across a variety of presentations. Jay is trained in delivering Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) which highlights the interaction between our thoughts, feelings, and behaviour.

 

He also draws on other evidence-based treatment approaches from Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Acceptance and commitment therapy, Mindfulness Techniques, as well as having a keen interest in Buddhist psychology, positive psychology, and solution-focused therapy.

 

By using a client-centred approach, he works collaboratively with his clients to assist them in building skills and resources to achieve their goals with confidence.

 

 

Jay has experience working with adolescents and adults, having worked with a range of presentations, including, but not limited to, anxiety disorders, affective disorders, attachment issues, and more.
