About Kristen

Kristen is a down-to-earth and warm psychologist who utilises a variety of approaches and techniques to help her clients make sense of their symptoms and achieve their goals.

 

She helps clients explore and understand underlying patterns in their thinking and behaviour which may be impacting on the quality of their life and relationships. Kristen achieves this through a safe, supportive, non-judgemental approach that establishes an accepting environment for her clients. She brings humour and creativity to her role as she works collaboratively to encourage and support her clients as they seek positive change in their lives.

 

Kristen enjoys working with clients across the lifespan and has provided support to individuals, couples and families, with various interpersonal, emotional and psychological difficulties. She can help you with Anger Management, Anxiety and Worry, Assertiveness Training, Bereavement and Loss / Complicated Grief / Pet Loss, Confidence issues, Communication difficulties, Depression, Emotional difficulties, Fertility and Infertility issues / Assisted Reproductive Treatment Journey, Life Transitions and Adjustment, Relationship difficulties, Self-esteem, Confidence, Self-acceptance, Stress, Trauma / Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) / Complicated Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (C-PTSD) Work / Career change / Career stress and burnout, Workplace Bullying.

 

With over 25 years of experience, she is qualified in a variety of evidence-based therapies which include but not limited to Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), Positive Psychology, Mindfulness, Solution Focused Approach and Strengths Based Approaches. Kristen is a registered General Psychologist who has fulfilled various roles within public welfare and health settings.
