Payment and Cancellation Policy

​

At Winnicott Psychology Clinic, we value your time and the time of our clinicians. To support a smooth booking experience and reduce missed appointments, the following policy is in place:

• A $132 non-refundable deposit is required to secure your first appointment. This payment is made online when you complete your intake forms.
   

• The remaining balance of the session fee will be charged to your saved card during or immediately after your appointment.
   

• For all future appointments, the full session fee will be charged during the session.
   

 

Please note:

• A minimum of 24 business hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule any appointment.
   

• If less than 24 business hours’ notice is given, or if you do not attend, the remaining balance will be charged to your saved card, bringing the total to the full session fee.
   

• For Monday appointments, cancellations must be made by close of business on Friday, as the clinic does not operate over the weekend.
   

• Medicare, TAC, WorkCover, and VOCAT do not cover missed appointments, including cancellations without sufficient notice.

For Couples Therapy:   

At Winnicott Psychology Clinic, couples sessions are $285 per appointment:

​

• The first session is 90 minutes, giving both partners time to share and helping your psychologist understand your relationship, history, and goals. This longer start sets a strong foundation for therapy.

• Ongoing sessions are 45–50 minutes. Sometimes the second and third appointments may be individual ($270 each, Medicare rebate available with a referral) if your psychologist needs more information. Regular couples sessions then focus on exploring challenges, improving communication, and strengthening your connection.

• This approach provides a comprehensive start and consistent support, helping couples feel heard from the beginning while making steady progress over time.​
